MONDAY is Zoom guitar lessons day…I try and do most of them on a Monday. The first, in the morning goes well then I get on with what I hope will be the final edit on the Communities Housing Trust film.
A load of acrylic I ordered to use in merch making arrived last week. It’s in huge sheets that need to be ‘cut’ down to roughly A4 size. At the moment they’re taking up all the floor space in the office.
Having failed to cut acrylic very well with various saws in the past, I discovered the best way is to score it with a Stanley knife then snap it. I manage to get it all done before lunch. I make some fresh flour tortillas and have tacos with leftover Mexican beef, salsa, coriander and lime. Magic!
In the afternoon I take some photos and film some stuff to promote the ‘ultimate’ Dave Arcari signature bottleneck…red, hand-blown crystal. They’ve been about eight months in the coming, so I need to get them moving!
Once done I don my waterproofs and brave the weather for a walk up the lochside.
More guitar lessons online then I prepare for my weekly livestream – this week, though, I’m testing Bandcamp as a platform for a future full-length ticketed concert. It goes well, although there are some picture/sound sync issues I need to sort out.
Back in the house Margaret’s got dinner ready then I call my pal Duncan to see if he’d like to be my ‘special guest’ on the Memorial Hall concert on Saturday 23 April. He does. Grand.
