WE SLEEP in and for the first time that I can remember, I’m caught out by the clocks changing.

I’ve some work to get don before we go to Catriona and Will’s then I need to get the bike ready. It’s a lovely day so I plan to cycle to Doune and back.

The route I take is mostly off road and smaller roads, so there’s not much traffic except the few times I ave to use stretches of main road.

When I get there Will’s got the grill lit…Margaret and Joyce are already there and we have a lovely afternoon in the garden. Neighbours Tom and Nina drop round for a drink. Nice to see them.

I get back on the bike about 5.30pm and am pretty goosed when I get home an hour and a half later. I tidy up, do a couple of things in the office then make mushroom risotto. An early night is in order…endoscopy tomorrow!
