Grand to catch up with my old pal Stewart on the Paddlefast solstice outing…

THERE’S a bit of production involved in finishing off some stuff for the village shop…but I’m waiting on a courier bringing some extra supplies I need. Meantime, I get on with some other admin and bits and bobs of work.

I prep some stuff for my lunchtime ramen and get a batch of brownies – with raspberries – in the over to take on this evening’s PaddleFast solstice outing on the loch.

Thankfully the courier gets here at a reasonable time ad I manage to get all the stock finished and delivered to the shop.

I do a little work on planning and songs for the new album (!!) then go and get myself ready for this evening’s paddle – a social solstice paddle organised by PaddleFast. My pal Stewart – who I hadn’t seen in 20-odd years until last Saturday – is coming not he paddle and parking up at our place.

We get ourselves ready and walk down to the bay to meet the rest of the group.

There’s a fair swell on the water on the way out to the far end of the island. We all hang out, drink coffee and share cakes and biscuits. my raspberry brownies seem to go down well 🙂

The swell makes for difficult going on the way back but we make it without incident. Stewart heads for home and I go for a cold shower while Margaret serves dinner. Think I might be sore tomorrow!
