ONCE the daily routine stuff’s out the way Margaret drives me to the doc in the village. Prostate examination incoming. Literally!

I’ve had the blood and urine tests already – they’re clear – but now it’s time for stage three…finger up the bum. Everything appears to ‘feel’ fine up there but the doc refers me to the prostate clinic just to be sure. It could take 6-12 months for an appointment.

I walk home and enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

After lunch i hit the studio and do a bit more work on JonZip’s song. I’m keen to exercise my ‘production’ skills and turn out something he likes.

We’ve got pals coming for dinner and I’m doing sous vide chicken with pepper sauce. The chicken will need to be in the water bath for two to three hours and it usually takes a good half hour to get up to temperature. meantime, I vacuum seal the chicken breasts and make a batch of pizza dough for Saturday using the poolish I mixed yesterday.

Then it’s back into the studio to make a wee teaser video for Meet Me in the City which drops in a fortnight. I make a version for TikTok and similar to post round my socials.

Once done I shut up shop and start preparing the arancini for our starter and get the ingredients ready for the pepper sauce.

Alastair and Karen arrive bang on time and we have a grand evening 🙂
