IT’S A struggle getting up at the crack o’ dawn to get my gear and a PA system up to Cashel forest for today’s Cashel Bash Autumn Festival but I manage!
Somehow I forgot the iPad I need to control the mixer so I set up what I can then head back home for breakfast, pick up Margaret and Elina and the iPad and get back on site.
We’re there just as the event opens so there’s not too many folks around when I finally soundcheck then we set up a merch table along with a wee display of West Highland Way Gifts stuff.
My first set is at 12.30pm so there’s time to hang out as the site fills up.
There’s quite a few folks we know and Catriona’s brought the kids along too. My second set is at 2pm then we chat with folks and the overall event comes to close.
We get packed up, down the road and I get a bacon-wrapped pork loin on the smoker for dinner before having a kip.
After dinner we sit and chat for a while then have an early night. Margaret’s taking Elina into Glasgow to catch her train first thing in the morning.
