THE kids wake us up early…Margaret takes them downstairs for breakfast and I spend some time catching up on emails, socials and get my daily blog out the way.

Once everyone’s organised we jump in Catriona’s car – the kiddie seats are in her car – and Margaret drives us to James’ Coffee…a cool outdoor cafe run from an old airstream a few miles away.

Back in Doune we take the kids to feed the ducks and aren’t back at the house long when Catriona and Will get back.

We head for home and get some stuff done before Mikey rocks up – he’s staying a coupla nights…
