Extra heavy guitar strings as used by Dave. These signature strings are made by Newtone Strings – phosphor  bronze hand-wound over a round core – gauges are: .056, .045, .037, .026 (plain),.019, .017

NOTE: these heavy gauge strings can put extra tension on the neck of the guitar and should not be tuned UP beyond concert pitch. Dave tunes DOWN to open tunings – open G (D B G D G E high to low) and open C (C G E C G C high to low)
